Evergreen Town Race

The Evergreen Town Race is a benefit for the Alpine Rescue Team in Evergreen, Colorado. The race is one of the most fun races in Colorado. Mostly downhill with amazing views of the rockies and the Colorado foothills. This year's race is on Sunday, August 5, 2007. The 5k and 10k races both start up Upper Bear Creek and gently wind downhill to the finish at the Evergreen Lake House, which is a part of Evergreen Parks and Rec. This is one of the fastest and most scenic races in Colorado.

Entrance fees are $25 before race day and $30 on race day for the 5K and $30 and $35 on race day. Entrance fee gets you your number, T-shirt and light brunch after the race. There will also be free entertainment and other goodies for all. For the 5K, packets can be picked up at Evergreen High School. For the 10K, packets an be picked up at the frontage road in front of Xcel Energy, both starting at 6:30 AM. Get there early to get the shuttle to the start of the race.
